Kim Kardashian brings his passion for the law to the small screen.
The reality star, repeatedly expresses her desire to become a real-life lawyer, appears in a new trailer for Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama “All’s Fair.”
Kardashian fans first learned that she signed up for Star in the June 2024 script series, when she was discussed on Season 5 (“Kardashians” Episode 2 Discussion). On the scene, Murphy cast the show to Kardashian, who seemed happy to move on.
"I know I don't need to add anything else to my schedule or another TV show, but it's so different from what I do, and it's a challenge for me," she said in a remorseful interview. "I like this challenge, so I just want to see that."
A year later, Hulu released new details about the project and first learned about the series.
What is the show and when will it premiere? Continue reading to learn more.
According to Hulu's feed, "All's Fair" follows a team of female divorce lawyers to leave "a male-dominated company" to start its own practice.
“In the courts and their own hierarchy, they are both fierce, brilliant and emotionally complex, in the allegory of high-stakes breakups, the secrets of scandals and transfers.
On "The Kardashian," Murphy promotes Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner on the premise of the show.
"It's a very good idea," he said. "So, King is the best and most expensive divorce lawyer in the world and she owns her own company. About her company, it's an all-female company."
Murphy compared the series to "Sex in the City" and said people would like it because it portrays "a bond that a group of women try to experience together."
Kardashian, who has been speaking out about his experience studying on the bar exam, said the show was very "branded" for her, and Murphy agreed.
He joked that her slogan might be: “I’m not only a lawyer, but I’m playing one on TV.”
“That’s the best slogan ever,” he said with a smile.
"Totally," Kardashian said.
The two previously collaborated when Kardashian appeared in Murphy's series American Horror Story: Elaborate.
The all-star cast features Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Matthew Noszka, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close.
Kardashian, Close, Watts, Nash-Betts and Paulson also served as executive producers of the project along with Jenner, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson and Nissa Diederich.
Murphy plays a triple duty to write, direct and produce the project. Anthony Hemingway is with him as executive producer and director.
Hulu released a new trailer for "All's Fair" until it premieres later this year. The brief clip begins with the character of Kardashian speaking to the client, saying, “Take a deep breath. Tell us your story.”
"A lot. Sorry," seems to be the client of actor Elizabeth Berkley, as she gets emotional.
"No, no, no. We don't meet with those who regret it," Watts replied.
Actor Judith Light then appears in a scene and says, "You know a girl's best friend. Not a diamond. Her lawyer."
Set as the song "Cell Block Tango", the trailer offers a lot of conspiracy and revenge for clients of legal practice. In one scene, the closest person says, "Agitate. Go crazy. Take revenge."
Next, a man appeared in the practice office and said, "Ladies, what do you think you might have ever seen hit me like that?"
Kardashian replied: "You are right. You should be very familiar with everything we are going to show you today."
Paulson seems to stir up some drama in one scene because she said to the female lawyer, “You are not the only one who has suffered abuse. A lot of women cause it, aren’t it?”
Later she showed up a drink and said, “It was painful, like all the women who had that joint.”
According to Hulu, "All's Fair" will debut internationally in Hulu in the United States and in the fall of 2025. The exact premiere date has not been released yet.
