Vince Vaughn and Susan Sarandon headlines Nonasone of a large feature released by Netflix in May. this Dear Evan Hansen and the perks of Being a Wallflower Filmmaker Stephen Chbosky directed the fact-based comedy that began streaming on May 9 and told the story of Joe Scaravella, who decided to change his life path by opening an Italian restaurant and hiring an Italian grandmother (also known as "nonnas". This story is based on real-life Scarvilla, owner of Staten Island restaurant eNoteca Maria and author of the 2015 recipe Nona's house. The cast also includes Linda Cardellini, Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Joe Manganiello and Campbell Scott.
On May 15, Netflix's Adult Animation Series Volume 4 Love and Death and Robots Publish on the platform. The series, dead Pool Filmmaker Tim Miller and David Fincher produce executives explore a range of genres, including comedy, horror and science fiction, all related to the themes of love, death and well, robots. The series is a group of middle school teenagers, including best friends Nick Birch and Andrew Glouberman (voiced by Nick Kroll and John Mulaney), who are struggling with the most embarrassing problems facing young people. With the Last Outing, Emmy Award-winning adult comedy will be the longest scripted series in Netflix history.
Also on May 23 Fear Street: The Prom Queenthe latest version of Netflix Fear Street Film franchise, debuting. The 1980s movie is adapted from the 1992 novel by author RL Stine The Queen of the Prom Stars India Fowler, Susanna Son, Fina Straza, Ariana Greenblatt, Chris Klein, David Iano, Ella Rubin, Lily Taylor and Katherine Waterston. The film is directed and written by Matt Palmer and co-written by Donald McLeary. Netflix previously released a well-received trilogy Fear Street The film, directed by Leigh Janiak, in 2021: Fear Street Part 1: 1994,,,,, Fear Street Part Two: 1978 and Fear Street Part 3: 1666.
Netflix ends this month with its own big party live Netflix Tudum 2025: Live Events, Its global pop culture activities are related to its content.
