NBA Playoffs: LeBron James

LeBron James' next decision has to wait.

James didn't have much updates for the future Wednesday night after the Los Angeles Lakers lost 103-96 to the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-96, which officially eliminated them from the playoffs.

"I don't know. I don't have an answer," James said. "It's something I've sat down with my family, my wife and my support group and just talk about what happened.

There is no controversy over James's career end. He just finished his seventh season with the Lakers and spent 22 years in the NBA. He is now 40 years old and will be 41 by the end of next season. James' two-year deal with the Lakers, with a $101 million deal left, although he has a player choice and has almost all the power in what he will do next.

His statistics didn't really slip either. James averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game this season, not far from his better season on paper. However, James cannot last longer. He has tied with Vince Carter in NBA history, which only becomes increasingly difficult to stay healthy and stay healthy.

James has also completed everything possible in his career. The four-time MVP led three different teams to NBA championships throughout her career. He is also an all-time scoring leader in the NBA and many other accolades he has received. He also teamed up with his eldest son, Bronny, to play the Lakers for the first time this season in another NBA, something he long said he wanted to do before he retires.

James scored 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists in Game 5 Wednesday night. The Lakers made the playoffs in five of his seven seasons with the team, who won the championship in 2020 but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs in a few back-to-back years.

The Lakers also have some jobs related to their roster. It feels like being together in a stunning mid-season deal with Luka Dončić. However, James is not ready to worry about this.

James will surely announce his future in the near future, whatever it may be. Not surprisingly, he was not prepared for a response immediately after Wednesday’s loss.
