Nashville SC faces DC United as it ends four games on May 17.
Nashville (7-4-2, 23 points) scored its best start ever at MLS, ranking fourth in the Eastern Conference and highest in two years as it hosted DC at Geodis Park (3-6-4, 13 points). The Golden Boys have not lost since defeating Seattle sounder 3-0 on April 19.
Last season, NSC lost two games against DC, including a 4-3 loss at home on October 2, almost ending hopes of entering the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year. The NSC was 4-2-2 out of eight ever-ever meetings against Manchester United.
DC will shortsighted the identity of Nashville, who won MLS Golden Boot in 2024 to become the league's top scorer, having injured his foot and ankle in May 14 against New York Football Club.
Nashville also doesn't have one of its main players: defender Walker Zimmerman will miss his eighth straight win as the concussion lost to Charlotte Football Club on April 5. NSC beat 5-1-1 without Zimmerman, a member of the U.S. men's national team.
DC midfielder Randall Leal plays for Nashville SC from 2020 to 2024 and will make his first appearance at Geodis Park. Leal played for United for five games and began playing against NYCFC.
