The daughter of the former speaker told POLITICO's Jonathan Martin in a column published Sunday: "If I were Mrs. Mac Biden, I would put on my big girl pants, play the long game, and think about my Husband's legacy." She noted that she was speaking only for herself. “There are not many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of them.”

First lady Jill Biden said in an exit interview with The Washington Post published on January 15 that she was disappointed with Nancy Pelosi's role in influencing Biden to withdraw from the race.
“This has been on my mind lately, and—” First Lady told the post. "We are friends 50 years. This is disappointing. "
