Dearborn - This is the first regional championship game in the history of women's football in Monroe High School and has not appeared as the Trojans would have hoped.
Monroe's season ended Tuesday, June 3 with a 6-1 loss to Plymouth Salem.
Emily Eshenroder scored his only goal for the Trojans.
Monroe ended with a 13-10 finish as sophomore coach Scot Chaffin.
This is the last match of the uniforms of seniors Eshenroder, Rowan Stamper, Ally Younglove, Alexis McMahon and Claire Charnock.
Salem (14-7-1) advanced to No. 1 Saltwater (19-0-2) in the District 1 Regional Finals in Dearborn at 7 p.m. Thursday, an 8-0 title for another semi-final Grosse Pointe South.

Megan Butz of Whiteford, Kylee Nevel of Summerfield and Zayla Brown of Mason played the full-strength sports team.
Troy - Bedford's boys lacrosse season lost 19-1 to Detroit National in the Division 2 quarterfinals Friday, May 30.
Brady Weirich scored his only goal for his mu son.
Bedford won the Red Championship and their first regional title with a 13-5 record.

Owen Russeau won the state championship with a 1-0 shot victory over the Battle Creek Fire on Saturday, May 31, and Owen Russeau made two saves on penalty shootout percentage.
This is the first state champion of Monroe United Program.

The other trinity champions were Dorian Mullins (17-2.5 long jump), the 8th grade boys 1,600 relay (Mullins, Bryce Bellino, Cole Butler, Thomas Vallade) and the women’s fourth-sixth 800 800 Relay (Sophia Piepsney, Lainey Piepsney, Lainey Piepsney, Lainey Hess, Elle Jondro, Emma Jondro, Emma Jondro).
Jondro also ranked second in the long jump, third in the 100 and fifth in the 200.
