When 25-year-old Molly-Mae was asked about the incident, she neither confirmed nor denied it happened, instead replying: "This is new territory for me.

Love Island royals Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague split last year

Molly-Mae and Tommy are arguably Love Island's most high-profile couple.

The couple, who were runners-up on the reality series in 2019, got engaged in 2023 and have a daughter, Bambi. But they split last August.

Molly-Mae said the reason she hasn't commented on the breakup on social media is because they are both still going through it.

She also dismissed speculation that the split was a publicity stunt.

"I think for me, more than anything, that's the most frustrating part," she said.

"I wish this was a publicity stunt because it would be a lot easier. Because going through this, plus the chaos of a breakup, is very difficult.

"I do see these comments where people say this is obviously just to 'launch her brand or a publicity stunt,' which is very painful to read because this is real life," she added.

"Tommy and I have a baby together and that's very, very real and something that we've been through over the last six months."

Molly Mae's new docuseries promises to give fans 'unprecedented access' to her life

Molly-Mae now stars in a new TV series exploring her life behind the vlogging camera.

Molly-Mae: Behind It All is a reality show-cum-documentary series that follows her as she raises Bambi while pursuing various business ventures.

She said her main reservation about participating was filming at her home.

"I didn't know how I was going to feel," she said.

She admitted that handing over filming and editing control to others was also a "challenge" as she was used to making her own videos on platforms like YouTube.

"There were some parts where I thought, OK, I'll take that out," she said.

"But really, you know, if I occasionally get frustrated with Bambi, that's real and honest and raw and I hope other moms will appreciate that and see that we're not trying to sugarcoat it here everything. ".

She said she did address the breakup on the show.

"We shared our breakup very honestly," she said.

But she adds that it's "more than just a one-shot documentary" - but also focuses on parts of her life she's never delved into before, including motherhood and body confidence.

Despite being a pro, she admitted to feeling "anxious" about the series' failure, but said she has a "thick skin" which should help ease any negative feelings.

As for what's next, Molly-Mae said she hasn't set any "major goals" this year and wants to focus on being a mom and her career.

“2024, a lot of it is about getting through the year and getting through it,” she said.

"And in 2025, I just want to leave a lot of what happened last year in last year and focus on the positives."

Episodes 1-3 of "Molly-Mae: Behind It All" will be released on Prime Video on January 17, with the last three episodes expected to be released in the spring.
