The 2025 MLS season is now firmly going on, which means it's time for ESPN's power rankings now.
Who is climbing the table? Who is free in autumn? Our writers looked at the action throughout the game 12 to present orders from all 30 teams in the league this week. Let's dive.

The Whites fell behind in two goals against LAFC, but Brian White's support and Yohei Takaoka's goalkeeper ended up giving the Whitecaps a 2-2 draw. It wasn't their best start, but they showed tenacity in their comeback, and White changed the game-changing statement with his goal. This is an essential thing for any team that is dabbing in the trophy.

Dániel Gazdag returns to Subaru Park without immediate plans. The crew was chasing the game for most of the game, with Patrick Schulte's four saves being limited to four saves of two goals. But Wilfried Nancy's roster continued, patiently building their offense with 70% of the ball and defeated them 2-2 in the second half stop time to avoid a second loss of the year.

Philadelphia is this Close to demolition of Columbus, but visitors are allowed to equalize twice on Saturday at Subaru Park. As the equalizer at the end of the game scored in a game of downtime but won the win, the league was the better team for most of the game, scoring two great goals and showing again why they belong to the top of the MLS this season.

After losing to Minnesota 4-1, Herons have lost four of the last five games in all games. The frustration is obvious (which includes co-owner David Beckham, who went to social media to defend his club from Loons’ social accounts called “Pink Fake Club”). Their defense requires work and coordination, but they have time to do it right.

Soundtrack was unbeaten after defeating Houston 3-1 in the last five games (four wins, one draw). It wasn't their toughest test of the season, and Dynamo knocked down a man from the 38th minute, but Albert Rusnák's brackets punished the owner.

The lazy man doesn't need the ball to hurt you. The second-place host hosted Herons in Minnesota, taking 27% of the ball, elite execution and effective game plan to beat Miami 4-1.

The FCC proves that you don't need decisive victory and huge profits to sit above the Eastern Conference. The 2023 supporters' Shield winners beat Austin 2-1 on Saturday, marking their eighth straight game with one or fewer goals. Of the 17 goals this season, they have scored much fewer goals than the seven teams in the East. Evander is the elite (scoring beautifully and assisting with the second goal), but they still have questions on the offense.

Nashville defeated Charlotte 2-1 on Saturday, with the host responding to Liel Abada's opening goal with two goals in five minutes to beat one of the strongest players in the East this season.

The three consecutive wins are definitely in the rear view. Anders Dreyer once again became a star after San Diego beat St. Louis 2-1 on Saturday after defeating Dallas 5-0 last week.

Charlotte remains one of the best teams in the East but lost back to back to Columbus, and then Nashville has taken some air from the team's Oriental Wish.

LAFC has been unbeaten in its last five games (two wins, three draws), almost defeating top teams on Sunday. Vancouver deserves a 2-2 comeback, but LAFC initially put them on the back foot and ended up almost stealing the victory.

After trailing 4-1 last weekend (their only loss in the last eight games), the wood kept a clean sheet against SKC, Santiago Moreno's 10th minute bike kick was enough to beat a 1-0 victory.

In last year's MLS Cup, the Red Bulls ran around the galaxy and embarrassed visitors with a 7-0 victory. Suddenly, (versus the worst team in the league) their offense was fully released: those seven goals accounted for 37% of the scoring output this season.

Orlando can't stop the painting team. Saturday’s 3-3 Goalfest is a more interesting approach, though, as it marks the Lions’ fifth draw in the last six regular season games, but the first to lead any goal. They ended the weekend in the playoffs but had a tough test with Miami on Wednesday.

Revs' comeback continues, and he ended the weekend in the playoffs after painting Orlando 3-3. They trailed twice and defended with a Do or-Die defense mentality (five saves to Aljaz Ivacic) and the best No. 10 fight in the Carles Gil league.

The start of the reunion between Dejuan Jones and Bruce Arena exploded. Jones won the score by defeating Colorado 2-0 in honor of his first goal in his third goal at the new club. Chicho Arango added a second second to get a 2-0 earthquake victory.

Rapids have not won after hitting San Jose 2-0 in the past four games (two draws, two). They ended the weekend with 16 points in the Western Conference rankings (including the earthquake) with three other teams, but needed to generate higher quality opportunities to make the playoffs.

The results are everywhere in Dallas. FCD shows they can take over as top teams, but they also stumbled upon the opposition's opposition. They beat Miami and then beat San Diego 5-0, but they returned to the RSL on Saturday with a 1-1 record thanks to Anderson Julio's goal against his former club.

After 80 minutes of his own goal putting the Atlanta level at Soldier Field level, it seems Chicago may have another chance to win this season, but Rominigue Kouamé won the 86th minute championship from the bench. So the fire won the victory at home.

Talk about temperament. One week after beating the top teams in the East, NYCFC lost 1-0 to Montreal at the bottom, looking as if they deserved it. When they face 12th DC, they will need to clean up the defense without any guarantee.

Brandon Vázquez lost 2-1 to Cincinnati from Austin, marking his first goal against his former club at TQL Stadium (his first goal against them was in the CONCACAF game). It was three goals in 11 games for the $10 million striker, who scored 43 goals for the FCC, becoming the second highest scorer in their history.

Diego Luna is very interesting. Before squeezing his seventh goal of the season into the net, he found space by working on some creative work with the ball. Unfortunately, RSL let former teammate Anderson Julio find the RSL's equalizer in the 53rd minute and they walked away with a 1-1 draw.

One thing we know Jack McGlynn can do from a free kick is to throw a dime on someone else's head. That's how Houston stayed level with Seattle after falling 1-0 early on, but soon after they sent the next man, the red card ended the 2024 playoff game with a 3-1 loss.

The signs of Toronto show signs of life and are attributed to the glory of Lorenzo Insigne. The Italian scored the opening goal and forced a second goal to dominate his own goal to change that victory.

United had some chances against Toronto but found themselves 2-0 to reach the quality of Lorenzo Insigne before the goal, while Sean Johnson's five-game performance.

Atlanta has no victory in six games and handed Chicago to its first home win of the season. Brad Guzan (of course) took some goalkeeper heroes, but it wasn't enough in a 2-1 loss.

After losing to San Diego 2-1, STL has no victory in the last eight games of the regular season. If they can’t collect something from it, they’ll play the tough problem of Kansas City on Wednesday.

Montreal won the first victory of the year after defeating NYCFC 1-0. This season hasn't been completely reversed, New York City has a poor defense, but that's progress.

Sporting only admitted one goal against Portland (which is four improvements compared to the timber on April 13), but their production wasn't enough to get anything from this game to trail 1-0.

If we can rank the dominant champion below 30 titles, we need to do that after what just happened in New Jersey. The 2024 MLS Cup rematch ended 7-0 in Red Bulls' favor as the Galaxy almost gave up at the Sports Illustrated Stadium. Galaxy's record-breaking stumbling block extends to 12 games, starting this year.
