MLB News: Yankees' Oswaldo Cabrera thanks fans for their support in Heartfelt post

New York Yankees Utility Oswaldo Cabrera was injured Monday in a 11-5 win over the Seattle Mariners.

Cabrera, 26, posted a heartfelt message on social media late Thursday night, explaining how grateful he is for the support he has received.

"After such a sad night, after such a cruel twist of ankle, there were a lot of negative thoughts, in such a big pain, I went to bed, so I wouldn't succumb to more bad thoughts. When I woke up, the first thing I did was grab the phone. Grab my phone. "I just got the news from everyone. I put the phone on the bed with a big smile on my face and the first thing I can say is 'God, how happy I am.''

Cabrera said in his post that he had a successful surgery on his injured ankle. Cabrera said he has received support since the injury was something he and his family would never forget.

"My return to the field starts today. Thank you, I'm more motivated than ever. So with the strength I've always had and all the beautiful energy that everyone has given me, I tell you I'll be back, I'll be back, and I'll keep trying my best every day. I love you all," Cabrera posted.

In another post, Cabrera yelled at some teammates who visited him at the hospital overnight.

"I know all my teammates want to see me the same night, but going to the hospital is restricted. And, once the game is over, except for the coach and trainer (who I love so much by the way), my captain, Judge Aaron, my favorite, Anthony Volpe," said Anthony Volpe in his post.

"They don't have to be there, but they don't even have anything in their belly."

Since his 2022 Major League Baseball debut, Cabrera has been with the Yankees and has been loved at the clubhouse.

His injury occurred at the top of the ninth inning. Fill the base with Yankees. Cabrera was a runner at third base and Judge Aaron Judge hit a fly ball.

Cabrera grabbed the ball and marked the hustle and bustle home.

Cabrera tries to avoid the label of sailor catcher Cal Raleigh, and he falls in pain as he stops to try to touch the plate, his ankle bends under him.

Cabrera has been getting most of the starts at the Yankees' third base game this season. In the past, he was used as a practical person who could fill and play with the entire diamond.

Cabrera's average hits averaged .243, one home run and 11 RBIs in 34 games this season. Over his four-year career, the 26-year-old averaged .234 with 34 home runs.
