Mitchell injured, Cavaliers injured when they collapsed in Game 4 blowout

The second round series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers was tormenting for the Cavaliers fans, with a ruthless emotional roller coaster that gave people hope, just tore it apart again and again.

Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points and 48 points respectively in Games 1 and 2, which ended in failure. The Cavaliers then headed to Indiana for Game 3, with little hope of turning the series around due to injuries from Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and De'andre Hunter.

Game 3 brought a glimmer of hope to fans as the unexpected return of the three led to a thunderous victory at home in the Pacers. The seemingly lost series turned into a chance for Cleveland to re-enter it.

However, Game 4 slammed the window. Cleveland was 41 points behind at halftime, and an ankle injury left Mitchell behind in the second half. This na th damage is aggravated by a 3-1 deficit of 3-1, with a chance to give Mitchell a spot in the rest of the series.

Cleveland.com's Chris Fedor reported that Mitchell was found suspicious after the team chose to keep the bench in the second half.

Game 4 was one of the most destructive losses suffered in recent memory by Cleveland fans. The third scene provides hope for fans. However, the brutal 20-point Wellhead in Game 4 and Mitchell's injury are probably one of the most disappointing conclusions in recent NBA history, especially given Cleveland's regular season and their championship aspirations.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported Mitchell's injury Thursday morning, explaining that he hit 1 and 2 on the injured leg. Game 4 appears to be a breakout point for Mitchell, who was seen during a half-time shooting routine before returning to the locker room.

Cleveland has not announced Mitchell's position in Game 5. But with the Cavaliers’ 3-1 drop, Mitchell is clearly in pain and fans shouldn’t expect a miracle on Tuesday night.
