Miley Cyrus is frank about her country superstar father, Billy Ray Cyrus.

Miley talks about Billy Ray’s current status, current relationship status, her struggles when he divorced her mother, Tish Cyrus, and more.

Miley's awakeness emerged during a part of an intimate interview.

She was open to her choice of drug and alcohol exemption, but earlier this year, her famous brother, musician Trace Cyrus, was sober, suggesting that Billy Ray might not make the same choice.

Now, Miley shares some details about what Billy Ray is going through.

When asked if she had ever talked to her dad about her sober experience, she said, "I think it's hard for him to wake up. I like it. He called it a good habit and made you feel good, but you know they're bad."

She continued: "So I think I grew up in another generation. My dad grew up between the 60s and 80s. Let your psychiatrist do speed dial. So I think my dad really has no support."

"My dad and I love talking about music and movies," she explained. "It's not our focus, but it probably should be. We should probably talk about that at some point."

In January, Billy Ray performed at the freestyle dance that night of Donald Trump’s inauguration. He encountered some technical difficulties and once asked the audience: "Check? Is anyone awake? Do you all want me to sing more, or do you want me to go to the hell of the stage?"

He added: "I'm there for the people and we exploded. That's what rock and roll!!!"

Shortly thereafter, Trace wrote in an open letter to his father: "You are not a healthy father, everyone has noticed it."

In another point in the letter, he wrote: "I love your dad. We haven't talked in a while, but I've been over a year and half clean from alcohol. I feel great. I don't know exactly what you're struggling with, but I think I have a great idea and I'd be happy to help if you're open and get help."

Miley said in a new interview that she has "a lot of elegance" for Billy Ray.

"He grew up in severe poverty and didn't always have an indoor bathroom," she shared. "He rarely went to the dentist when he met his mom. There was no date with a doctor. He grew up in a super town in Kentucky. I spent my whole life in Nashville, most people were in Los Angeles, in Los Angeles, in a safe neighborhood, but I couldn't even compare to my shape or my dad. Understand."

She was then asked if she believed her father had ever felt “competitive or overshadowed” by her reputation, and Billy Ray had an undeniable successful career in country music, while Miley became a child star for Disney’s “Hannah Montana” and has been in the spotlight for decades.

"Of course, this adds a certain level of complexity in my family," she admitted. "I think it's hard for anyone with a dream to see others achieve their own achievements in the way you see it. But I do think Love conquered everyone. He can still find pride in me. But any of us think that this doesn't add a certain level of complications to our already complex dynamics."

When asked if she felt “crime”, she said treatment lifted her out of “my guilt and shame.”

"I have a hard time accepting the pain I might have suffered because of how happy I am," Miley said. "I don't think it actually works much between me and my dad, though, because I have to believe that like any dad, he would want this for me."

“I think timing is everything,” she began. “As I get older, I respect my parents, not my parents, because my mom really loves my dad for the rest of my life and I think marrying someone in the music industry, not part of it, not part of it.

She continued: "But now my mom loves my stepfather so much, who I admire whom I totally admire, and now my dad has also seen him find happiness, and I can love them as much as I personally, not as a pairing of parents. I am an adult."
