East Lansing - Michigan State Baseball Team will head to the Big Ten Championships.

Randy Seymour's walking singles at the base loaded in the ninth inning put the Spartans in the regular season finals at McLane Stadium on Saturday.

The win, combined with UCLA's victory over the Northwest later that day, won the 12th seed in the Big 10 Championships, which will be held May 20-25 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, Omaha, Nebraska. The Spartans will be the No. 12 seed.

In ninth, MSU was 10-9 behind, with redshirt infielder Jacob Anderson tied up a single with a base to drive in teenager Noah Bright to tie the game. Seymour subsequently delivered his single to Pall Parker Picot and ignited the celebration.

The Spartans generally reached 28-25 in the top ten dramas, with a total of 13-17, and participated in the meeting for the second time in three years. It will be the 16th appearance in Michigan State's history and will be head coach Jake Boss Jr.

"They are all fun. I'll win in any way," the boss said. "I'm just so proud of our guys. It could have been a minute on the side of a few different periods, but we got some good baseball. I'm just proud of our guys and they're proud of them hanging there. It's a really nice win. I've been playing for the last two days in the last two days and I'm so proud of our guys when we need some determination and victory, we need to do it when we need it.

The Spartans will play the No. 8 seed Nebraska in the first round of the billiards game Tuesday at 7 p.m. before taking the first seed and regular season co-winning at Oregon at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The 12-team tournament will determine the conference's automatic berth NCAA tournament. Oregon and UCLA won the Big Ten title share on Saturday’s final day, with Oregon taking first place based on the tiebreaker.

This year's game will be made up with four groups, including three teams. The four pool winners will meet in the single-choice semi-finals on May 24, followed by the championship game on May 25.

The top ten networks will play every game of the game. The game will also be used on the Fox Sports app.

Saturday’s Omaha Link Victory limits MSU’s premium celebration weekend. After Saturday’s game, all 11 seniors fulfilled the MSU tradition of kissing Spartan heads in the central field and posing for group photos.

"Just a bunch of good people," the boss said. "It's 11 guys, and I think 7 of them were only here for a year, which is a little different. But each of them came in and adapted very quickly to East Lansing and our plans. Those have been here for five more years, five years and we really tried to appreciate all their efforts. When they got here, we told everyone: Your job is more than you can find, and I found these people.

"I think our plan is very good. Obviously, we want to win more games and you don't want it to boil down to the last day. But if you get into our plan and know our people, the program will definitely be in a good place."
