"In the conference, spend time with academics and try to better understand the situation," Wengo said. "Everyone stands out - staff, players. It's always a good time, spending time with players and coaches here, which is more than anything else.
"It's about adding what we know, plus I'm having fun here. It's more about having fun, not being strictly a football player. They show that."
The full trip to South Florida also came from assistant coaches under Mario Cristobal, which included extensive receiver coach Kevin Beard.

"I was with Daylyn this weekend, and last time I was with him," he said. "He was related, so it was always a good time. He made sure to put me on a lot of things."
"You can tell the players that want me, too."
Miami's overall push has long been obvious to Wengo. Florida hosted him this weekend, then stopped in Alabama and South Carolina to sum it up.
"It's a huge impact, they set the standard," he said of Miami. "Now I'm going around and they all know they have to give it 110% and show that they really want me like Miami."
During the offseason, one of the most important verbal commitments in Sunshine State may appear.
