Metropolitan Francisco Lindor

Francisco LindorTwo home runs in a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Friday, a series opener, with a 9-4 loss to the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday, the Mets (35-22) bodes well for New York.

After a 5-5 day on the plate against the White Sox (18-38), Lindor bounced back with long balls on both sides (out from the first and eighth innings) to handle the Rockies (9-48).

Lindor committed a 25-25 rut in a 7-5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers last Friday. It lasted throughout the week, but he hit three of his four hits, which triggered the Mets.

"That's part of the 162 they're going to go through," explain Carlos Mendoza. "It won't always be perfect. But when you see him moving forward - especially from the left side - such a left center (field), that is when he clicks.

"Apparently, hit the ball from the right side to the pull side and then hit a bullet in the middle to make some really good swing decisions and then obviously hit the ball with authority."

Lindor can play up to 12 home runs and 33 RBIs in 56 games.

"PT has a lot of work, has a lot of conversations with the coach, just researching movies, I haven't," Lindor said he is cutting .278/.347/.480. "I have to keep working. I've been watching Pete (Alonso) Lots, looking at others - Tyron (Taylor) - The way they do things. It's like trying to pick up something-(Francisco Alvarez), the same thing. We didn't reach the same hit, but we all had similar moves. Once I can do exercise, my body is aligned correctly and things should fall off."

"I'm healthy, but make sure my body moves correctly - make sure I rotate the right way, make sure I repeat the swaying pattern," Lindor added.

Between Lindor's Open and Close Home Run Juan SotoRBI dual and Starling Martesolo, David Peterson The Mets' bullpen had enough running support while also putting the Rockies into two hits in two hours and 17 minutes of game time.

"Whenever you can jump on a team and get an early lead, it brings an offensive rhythm that allows us to lead us there, pitch and hunt men," Peterson (4-2, 2.69 ERA) said he allowed five hits, hitting five IPs at the same time, and walking in 5.2 IP. "It's always nice to do some running early and be able to lead like this."
