
Last week, a new Instagram account posted the first set of seemingly random photos titled “All my girls are glittering girls”, along with the kiiikiii tag and “Who is kiiikiii?”
This account (reminiscent of the late Aughts' aesthetic Tumblr blog) belongs to Kiiikiii, the latest women's group from South Korean entertainment company Starship Entertainment. The teenage pop band will drop their debut album on March 24, their first music video Sunday for their debut single “I Do Me” – Accident Release is the rarity of the K-Pop world. The video has already had over a million views, and the video was even released before the company announced the names of group members.
Members of the group were officially launched by Starship Entertainment, home to groups such as IVE, MONSTA X and WJSN in local time in South Korea on Monday night. Kiiikiii consists of five members.
Jiyu, 18, serves as the leader of the singer, rapper, dancer and band; she is described as leading the group precisely. Leesol, 19, is a rapper and a long member of the organization; she is described as having charm and stylish charm. Sui, 18, is a singer, described as having a warm and friendly presence during her performance. Haum, 18, is a singer and rapper. She is described as a expressive dancer. Kya, 14, is a singer and the youngest member of the band. She is described as energetic.
