McCullers Outduels Outduels Skenes of Astros wins first win since 2022

Pittsburgh - Lance McCullers Jr. finally feels relieved on Tuesday night.

Since Houston beat the Pittsburgh Buccaneers 3-0 on September 21, 2022, the Astros made his first victory by shooting six innings innings. McCullers eliminated the 2023 and 2024 seasons due to injuries and has not won five games this year since the injury roster was activated on May 4.

McCarles (1-1) beat seven shots and walked one shot, and in eight innings Christian Walker gave up a run in Christian Walker's solo and one in eight innings.

"It took a while, but we got there," McCullers said of the win. "I'm glad I'm kind of with the guys and I'm able to give them a legitimate chance to win."

McCullers is also happy to have a tough outdoor situation behind him.

A department spokesman said Monday that a drunken bet aimed at McCullers’ family living overseas and told Houston police that he was sorry for what he did.

McCullers were threatened with social media against children after a bad start against the Cincinnati Reds on May 10, and he gave up seven runs to record just one in this game of Cincinnati Reds.

The Astronauts said Houston police and Major League Baseball security have been notified. McCarles and his wife Kara have two young daughters. Astronauts boss Jim Crane hired them 24 hours of security.

Police public information officer Erika Ramirez said the person who caused the threat was identified in the investigation. Since no charges have been filed, the police did not disclose his identity or his residence.

"I don't want to continue to state that, but thanks a lot for the Astronauts, the Astronauts' safety, Jim Crane, MLB safety, my teammates, HPD," McCullers said. "The solution is great. Not getting close to Houston is great. The fans are very supportive, and I appreciate it. It's great, it's behind us and our family feels safe again."

The man told police that he wanted to apologize to McCullers. McCullers said he would accept it.

He said: “As a follower of Christ, calling for love and forgiveness to our neighbors, I will accept it.”

Shawn Dubin, Bryan Abreu and Josh Hader finished four in each. Hard converts all the savings this season into all his 16.

Houston won his seventh victory in nine games, winning the three-game series opener.

The Astros closed for the sixth time this season. The Pirates were blanked 10 times in 61 games.
