The Shedeur Sanders aren't the only Cleveland Browns draft pick who received a prank call during the 2025 NFL draft.

His father, Allen Graham, confirmed to the free media on April 28 that Mason Graham was a former Michigan football national defensive tackle and he was also the fifth on the prank call.

"Yes - it happened," Allen's text message to Free Media began. “Someone made a tiktok when the crank (sic) called him and showed his phone on the video…his phone was called non-stop.”

Graham’s lucky news is that he did get a call that was actually very soon. Graham, his former head coach Jim Harbaugh, was once called "the gift of the God of Football" shortly after arriving at UM, and was selected as fifth by Cleveland Browns on the first day.

The former Rose Bowl defensive MVP has become the highest draft Michigan player since the Detroit Lions ranked second with Aidan Huthinson in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Graham's new teammate Sanders can't say the same thing. Sanders was once seen as a potential first-round draft pick, and even among the top five, Sanders slipped off the draft board and became the draft story. After the first round fall, Sanders was not selected on the second day of the draft, making him available on the last day of the now-infamous Sanders.

A video on social media showed a pair of college students making a phone call, one of whom was pretending to be Mickey Loomis, general manager of the New Orleans Saints. After Sanders answered, the caller told Sanders: “We’re here to pick up your next pick” and said a few seconds later, “But you have to wait a little longer, man. Sorry for that” and hung up.

In fact, Sanders did have to wait until the fifth round, when the Browns chose him with a No. 144 draft pick.

After that, news broke that one of the people involved in the prank was Jax Ulbrich, son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich. The 21-year-old went to social media to apologize publicly and said: The following:

"On Friday night, I made a huge mistake. Sheduer (Sic), what I did was totally unforgivable, embarrassing and shameful." "I'm sorry, I got rid of your moment, which was selfish and childish. I can never imagine preparing to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life, I made a horrible mistake and messed up that moment.

"Thank you for accepting my call earlier today and hope you can find forgiveness in your heart."

The Falcons must also issue a statement apologizing to Sanders and their family, while promising to review their agreements to ensure that this does not happen again. Although the NFL did not conduct a formal investigation, preliminary reports about the league said Jax entered his father's computer, which was unattended in their homes and extracted Sanders' numbers from a database that only NFL teams should have.

"It didn't really affect me because I mean, I mean, like I don't get into negative emotions, or I don't eat these things," Sanders said on a phone call with local media on Saturday. "You've seen it in Deion Jr.'s YouTube video. My reaction to it, I didn't...that's it. I think it's certainly childish.

"Of course, I think it's a childish act, but everyone does childish things here and there."

However, Graham did not apologize and seemed to have not figured out who the call was initiated. Graham's family did contact his new team to tell them what was going on, but it sounds like they could move on from the entire fiasco.

"Not (of course) how all these guys leaked their numbers?" Allen Graham said. "We told (Brown) during the flight to their facility. Mason said the phone had disappeared."
