Manny Pacquiao will not be in the International Boxing Hall of Fame as an incumbent senator.
The former eight-point champion failed in his second campaign in Wednesday night. The 2025 Philippine election was far beyond the top 12 seats to fill available seats. He ranked 18th with 10,208,499 votes as the representative of Partido Federal Ng Pilipinas (PFP, Philippine Federal Party).

In his legendary boxing career, and even in his previous political failures, Pacquiao was like a modest warrior.
"From my heart, thank you very much," he said via social media. “Even if I didn’t succeed in running for the Senate in the Senate, I’m very grateful for every vote, prayer and support.
"For all who vote and believe, thank you for your love. For all who have not chosen me, thank you anyway, because you are also part of the process of strengthening our democracy. The battle continues. The service continues. For God, for the country. For the country. For every Filipino."
The election results marked the second consecutive political failure of Pacquiao. The figure from General Santos is very popular, having previously run for president but ranked third in the 2022 Philippine election.

This result comes nine months after defeating Yordenis ugas at Yordenis ugas in August 2021, and failed to regain WBA middleweight title.
UGA's losses are considered the last battle in his current Hall of Fame career. Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOS) announced his retirement a month later and in his presidential campaign.
This time, Pacquiao has a future for boxing that can be expected – for better or worse, his latest political failure.
Pacquiao will be admitted to the Hall of Fame status in June, and a month later he will end nearly four years of ring disruption. As mentioned earlier, the 46-year-old Southpaw will be challenged by WBC middleweight champion Mario Barrios (29-2-1, 18 KO).

Although not official yet, their round is scheduled for the Prime Minister Boxing Championship (PBC) on July 19 on the Prime Video Pay-pay-tive-tive eview the Las Vegas field.
Neither PBC nor Pacquaio publicly confirmed his return. However, the boxers are expected to make official announcements at a press conference in Los Angeles next week.
The battle won't be less than four years after his aforementioned loss to UGA at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The TGB promotion took a control of all the venue on July 19, although it has been committed to hosting the three dates of the concert tour of the "Lady Gaga: Mayhem Ball".

Pacquiao won a seat in Congress in 2010, representing Sarangani, at the height of his boxing event. By then, he had collected linear and major titles in seven weight divisions and won his eighth later that year.
His second term of Congress is by default. Pacquiao had no objection during the 2013 election and ended his term when he entered one of 12 open Senate seats in 2016 with a seventh place finish.
The achievement came a month after the April 2016 Rubber Game defeated Timothy Bradley. In his second defeat to Bradley, Pacquiao immediately announced his withdrawal from the sport, focusing on his campaign.
His first retirement was short-lived – the standard fare for the industry – and he returned in late November, where he withdrew Jessie Vargas to begin his third WBO middleweight title reign.

Pacquiao later won the WBA middleweight title in a decision in July 2019 to beat then-Keith Thurman. The victory made Pacquiao the oldest middleweight champion in boxing history, 40 years and 215 days old, and is one of the six Guinness World Records he has in the sport.
Beating Barrios will allow Pacquiao to break his middleweight record and will be the second-biggest boxer to win any weight championship. Bernard Hopkins beat the then-IBF lightweight tavoris cloud at the age of 48 in 2013. Hopkins also beat the Then-ibf lightweight Titlist Tavoris Cloud when he defeated the 49-year-old 175-pound title in 2014.
Pacquiao may enter the ring as a loser against Barrios, who is over 17 years old in his junior in the Philippines.

He persisted in winning his first title - Straight Line and WBC Lightweight Championship - in 1998, his career was only two and a half years, and his career was only two and a half years, and he suffered a knockout loss for only one year.
But it wasn't until his June 2001 defeat to Lehlo Ledwaba, Pacquiao's career caught fire. When Pacquiao replaced the injured Enrique Sanchez, the chances were short. The battle was held in his first US at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and he could not have emitted a bigger splash.
From there, the championship was won, super lightweight, lightweight, super lightweight, middleweight and super subweight titles. A total of five straight-line champions are claimed, which is still a record.
Although the night ended in failure, his May 2015 clash with Floyd Mayweather remains the most lucrative boxing match in history. The sport's first two stars earned over $40,000 from $4.6 million in paid units sold, and also received $72,198,500 from live gates to the sold-out MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Paquiau's internal achievements and great popularity have completely promoted the political success he enjoyed. While he is now ready to try another boxing comeback, he still wears his heart on his sleeve while admiring the public and even political rivals.
"I sincerely congratulate all the winners," Pacquiao said Wednesday night. "May you be honest, humane and meaningful in serving our country.
"My heart will remain in the country. I hope the country will enhance the dream that every Filipino family will not change."
