Manchester United's Ruben Amorim won't resign, but insists Job online

Ruben Amorim said he would not resign as United's coach but insisted that he would be fired if the result did not achieve.

Amorim raised the possibility that he might step out of Old Trafford after a 2-0 win over West Ham on Sunday - they ranked 17th in the league this season.

But the Portuguese coach said on Wednesday that he would not throw towels.

However, he did double his statement about himself that he would not stay in the club longer if the team did not improve.

"I mean, I've been talking about standards since I got here," Amorim said.

“I can’t see the team’s results, especially in the Premier League, and I don’t know how to say anything and take responsibility.

“It’s just that I know clearly what to do. I understand the team’s problems, so I’m not, I’m far from quitting.

"I mean we need to perform, we have this season, in the future we need to perform, or they will change us. That's normal thing."

United faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday before heading to Bilbao for the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Raising the trophy to gain a place in the Champions League is an important financial growth.

Amorim is not sure whether the requirement to combine Premier League and European top club matches will be the best thing for his players next season.

"That's how I feel, we need more time to be with the team," Amorim said.

“We need to arrange a lot of things in Carrington, and we need more time to do so that we don’t think about the game.

"Then we have teams. This year, if we want to win the European Olympics and then be really competitive in the Premier League. That would be tough. My feeling is."

Sources told ESPN that despite his just six wins in 26 league games since his appointment in November, United are committed to keeping Amorim this summer even if they lose the Europa League final.

But, Amorim said the failure would allow him to step on the back foot before the head of his first full season.

"It will be very difficult, and if we don't win, the patience of the fans and you (the media) will be at its limit," Amorim said.

"We have to be perfect to continue everything. I know that. So, this way is not better.

“It’s obvious if we don’t win (the pressure will increase), but I’m not worried about that.”
