Paul Merson criticized Manchester United's decision not to hold an open bus parade if they continue to lift the Europa League trophy.
Sky Sports News If they beat Tottenham Hotspur in the final in Bilbao on May 21, the club wouldn't break tradition after the recent Cup final victory.
They will hold a small celebration. It is reported that it will appear in the form of barbecue on the club's training ground.
Manchester United won the Europa League in 2017, the FA Cup in 2016 and 2024 or the Carabao Cup in 2017 and 2023, without organizing a bus parade.
Speech Sky movementMerson criticized the decision to keep the celebration at home rather than share moments with fans, suggesting that the club will abandon supporters.
"The trophy is not going to be quick and fast," Merson said. "Manchester United has a million miles away. Enjoy as much as possible (the trophy).
“To me, it’s a bit arrogant.
“Winning the trophy is over, so enjoying it now. Who says they have won the championship for 15 years?
"Now they're going to have a barbecue and think about the fans! They'll let you know if the parade is correct. Don't turn fans out because that's about fans.
"I want to parade. They can win trophies, and if they win, they win more than Arsenal. Arsenal is happy to be in the parade. It's hard to win trophies, so don't underestimate the victory. It's difficult."
On the last outing, Man Man Utd, who had nine losses reached Old Trafford in the 17th best win against West Ham, will now be in charge of Ruben Amorim challenging his team in Bilbao's silverware to save the campaign.
Amorim believes he knows that "the team needs something better" because he hopes to address the "unacceptable" position the club finds themselves next season.
“I was really embarrassed, in 25 games we won six games. There was something wrong with the way we played football, and sometimes it had nothing to do with how we played tactical and technically.
“It’s the way we face competition, suffering and anger because we’re failing, and the way we protect our goals.
“It doesn’t matter whether we can change our position in the league – this feeling has nothing to do with confidence. It’s about the belief and understanding that we are Manchester United, and we don’t want to be the worst person in the league.
“Our position is unacceptable, and to me it’s not a lack of confidence, it’s a lack of deeper things.”
United centre-back in Friday's penultimate league game against Chelsea and final against Tottenham Hotspur, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Ayden Heaven all attended the training.
Amorim may be dealing with a depleted opposition line against the Spurs, according to a public training session held by Manchester United in Carrington on Wednesday.
Yoro stood out in Sunday's 2-0 home win over West Ham and was striking for his absence in practice, and so did De Ligt after asking a question at Brentford last weekend.
Heaven did personal work before last week's Europa League semi-finals against Athletic Bilbao, but did not see Jonny Evans compete with Toby Collyer at the meeting on Wednesday.
Diogo Dalot had a separate meeting before the main group training final, but Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee were in the game for the rest of the season.
Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra called the Europa League final a "critical moment in club history" to save the disastrous sport.
Manchester United can score up to 39 points this season, which will be their worst season in their final two games against Chelsea, Live in the sky Sportsand Aston Villa.
Evra told Sky movement In the Player Community Training Course.
"I love his honesty. I hope he succeeds, but of course, the results of this season are really bad.
"It's a process. It's his first year and I've seen a lot of progress. Even when I arrived, I had six months of adaptation.
“Because of the players we can attract, it’s better to play in the Champions League. This is a critical moment in the history of the club.
“Bruno Fernandes is the most important player on the team. If he wasn’t there, we wouldn’t be in the finals and there is a possibility (relegation).
"We have to forget about this season. I have confidence, but it will be tough. Good luck for both teams, but come on!"
