The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees 8-5 in the World Series at Dodger Stadium on Friday night, just like the last time the two teams played against each other.

The Yankees and Dodgers shared one area last time that was at Yankee Stadium, where New York lost the championship in a 5-0 lead in Game 5 of the World Series.

On Friday night, the Yankees exploded the lead again, though not as serious as the current infamous Game 5.

The game started with the Fireworks as Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani hit home runs 1-1 in the first inning. The judge and Ohtani became the first MVP to rule Homer in the first game.

At the top of the second inning, the Yankees continued to smash Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin. Receiver Austin Wells hit a home run and midfielder Trent Grisham added two shots to the second, giving the Yankees a 4-1 lead.

The Dodgers also scored in the second inning, but Yankees first baseman Paul Goldschmidt made a single home run to restore a three-round lead 5-2.

Ohtani hit Yankees starter Max Fried's second home run in the sixth inning and kicked off four innings for the Dodgers. Teoscar Hernández and Will Smith singles before Freddie Freeman's RBI doubles bombed the game.

Jonathan Loáisiga replaced French fries and allowed a game of RBI singles from Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages. Hill then breathed a sigh of relief and walked with Michael Conforto, who filled the base, giving the Dodgers a 6-5 lead.
