Their first trial ended in a crime, when jurors were unable to reach a consensus on their own destiny. After a second trial in the mid-1990s, some evidence of their alleged sexual abuse was left out, and jurors agreed with the prosecutor's motives.
Lyle Menendez has previously publicly hinted at what he plans to do if he is released.

Instead, Hockman said, he proved that “he is more likely to do everything he can to meet his needs and have a narcissistic tendency.”

The brothers returned to Van Nuissi Court from May 13 to 14 to continue the lawsuit In their case of resentment.
