LSU’s Arkansas Baseball (Game 3)

No.7 Arkansas Razors (40-11, 17-9 seconds) fell into the No. 3 LSU Tigers (40-11, 17-9 seconds) in a run, 13-3 innings in 7 innings Saturday night at the Alex Box Stadium, when the Tigers claimed to be a highly anticipated series. The razor is designed to avoid being swept before going home before the venue for three games Sunday.

Louisiana State's right fielder Jake Brown started his Monster Day with three home runs to the right in the first inning, and the Tigers plated at least one run over the next four innings, including a blast in the fifth, six o'clock. Brown ran five times at night with a score of 4-3.

The Arkansas effort made a big attack, largely thanks to another great outing from Anthony Eyanson, who released a 6-inning 5-hit with just one walk and 11 strikeouts, but the Pigs found some lives in seventh and shot three times on the board.

It was too late, though, as the Tigers added their 13th run at the bottom of the frame to end at 1:00 am for the second consecutive day of the race, sealing the game with a stroll.

Receiver Ryder Helfrick and left fielder Charles Davalan were the only pigs to record multiple hits and ended with two pieces.

After a great performance against Texas last week, Saturday’s starter Gage Wood was chased in just two innings, in which he was tagged with four runs and four hits while walking two batsmen and hitting two hits.

As for who will start the third game on the mound, it's still in the air.

"Not sure, but we'll lower it to two," said Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn.
