Actress and singer Halle Bailey has received restrictions on rapper and YouTube star DDG, her ex-boyfriend and the father of their one-year-old son.
The Little Mermaid star claims that he repeatedly violently against her, causing her fear of herself and her children.
A Los Angeles judge ordered DDG, whose full name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr, to stay away from Bailey and their son until the June 6 hearing.
Bailey, 25, claims that since the split in October, Granberry has set out from Granberry for "multiple physical violence." The BBC News has asked representatives for comment.
Bailey said in the document asking for the order: "Darryl has been physically, verbally, emotionally and financially abused me throughout our relationship.
“I am seeking orders to protect myself and my son’s halo from constant abuse.”
Bailey, 27, and Granberry have been in a relationship from 2022 to last year.
In the document, the actress claimed that Granberry repeatedly insulted her after tying her baby to a seat in the car in January, claiming that “everything between us has become physically something.”
"We fought each other, wrestled and clamored," she said. "Once, Daryl was pulling my hair. Then, he slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my teeth to shatter. Then, I stopped fighting back with a lot of pain."
Bailey included photos of her teeth and bruises on her arms in the lawsuit, which have since been published by some American media.
Two months after the alleged dispute, Bailey claimed that Granbury entered her house when she was not home and texted her photos of her bed along with threatening messages that she was having sex with other men.
She claimed that a few days later, Granberry condemned her, visiting their babies with him when she didn't want to send them, and then smashing the ring doorbell camera when he realized it was recording their confrontation.
She further claimed that when she called relatives for help, he held the phone and slammed the car door at her while holding the baby. Bailey submitted a police report on the incident.
As part of the restraining order, Granbury was also instructed not to possess any weapons. The judge can extend the order for up to five years at a June 6 hearing.
Bailey also asked Granbury to stop using his social media platform to continue to “introduce my bad attitude to my millions of fans.”
"He claimed I was going to withhold our son and be with others. As a result, I was threatened and hated on social media," she said in the document.
Bailey became famous as part of a popular duo with her sister, and later released music from solo artists. She has been nominated for five Grammy Awards.
As an actress, she appeared in the sitcom "Adult" from 2018 to 2022. However, her biggest role to date is playing a titular role in Disney's 2023 Little Mermaid's Live Play remake.
DDG signed a record deal in 2018 by posting videos on YouTube in the mid-2010s. He released four studio albums.
