Lionel Messi scored for the fifth time in three major league football games to help the Miami Marines score 5-1 on Saturday night.
Messi played a role in Miami’s goal. He scored twice in the 15th and 24th minutes - giving him 10 goals this season, which put his team ahead and ranked third in the MLS. He established Tadeo Allende's goal at No. 89, Fafà Picault's, and participated in Luis Suárez's score at No. 64.
This allowed eight times Ballon d'Or Winner to record two goals and assists twice in a row. His 15 goals contributed the most in the league.

It was a major win for Miami, who has won just two of its last eight games and ranked sixth in the Eastern Conference. Miami beat Montreal 4-2 on Wednesday and won over Columbus on Saturday to third place last year’s supporter Shield title, scoring 29 points in the final before the club’s World Cup kicks off next month.
Miami will face Egypt's Al Ahly on June 14 at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins in the NFL. Prior to this, Messi will join the Argentina National Cup qualifiers on June 5 and play against Chile and Colombia on June 10.
"We have confidence in winning this way, which shows that we are brave," Mascherano said.
"That club World Cup is another story. We're going to face a much higher level than we're facing in CONCACAF and MLS. If we're at the same level or not, we're going to show it in June. I think if we're the team, we can play."
Miami was a more aggressive team very early on. The Herons had seven shots in the first 25 minutes against Columbus - four goals - goals. The crew entered Saturday's eighth place in the MLS with only 19 goals.
Allende opened the score by setting a span finish on top with Messi's long ball. A few minutes later, Messi took advantage of the bad decision made by goalkeeper Nicholas Hagen, who lifted the ball despite the goalkeeper mastering the goalkeeper.
In Messi's second goal, Sergio Busquets set up his former Barcelona teammates for the second game and sent a long pass for Hagen's Messi.
Saturday was the second game of the season between Columbus and Miami, with Columbus and Miami being the last two League Cup champions. Miami International also beat Columbus to win the shield of supporters in 2024.
They were the only remaining unbeaten team in the MLS when they met in front of a record crowd of 60,614 fans on April 19. Miami won 1-0.
Columbus beat Dylan Chambost's corner 3-1 and returned home by Cesar Ruvalcaba against goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo, who replaced Oscar Ustari in the second half. Suárez restored Miami's three-point lead with a second goal in many games.
Messi gave the bat to Picault within minutes of the closing ceremony and stamped one of Miami's most important MLS season wins.
Miami has no match for veteran left-back Jordi Alba, who suffered a low body injury against Montreal on Wednesday.
