Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham as Apple series

Apple TV+ has ordered a series of Joona Linna novels based on Lars Kepler, including Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz and Star's Stephen Graham. The untitled series has been awarded 10 episodes in order. Production will begin this summer in Pittsburgh.

The official description of the series states:

“The project tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search Jonah, the last missing victim of Jurek, sent his adopted daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Bates) to Jurek, how far will Jonah go?”

The project was reportedly developed in 2023.

Lars Kepler is the pseudonym of the husband-and-wife team of Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndori. The first novel in the Joona Linna series, The Hypnotist, was published in 2009. Previously, it was adapted into a 2012 Swedish film starring Tobias Zilliacus. To date, Kepler's books have sold more than 18 million copies worldwide.

Rowan Joffe (“The Tin Man, the Ballad of the Little Player”) and John Hlavin (“The Shooter”, “The Man Who Falls to Earth”) serve as writers, executive producers and performers. Schreiber and Beetz will perform production through Sleepy Poppy, and Beetz will do so. Tim van Patten will direct the first two episodes and execute the product. Coelho Ahndoril and Ahndoril will also rule along with Oystein Karlsen, David Rysdahl, Dorothy Fortenberry and Niclas Salomonsson. Julie Herrin serves as co-executive producer. The series is produced by A+E Studios and Range Studios.

Schreiber is a nine-time Emmy nominee, including his role as starring in the Showtime series "Ray Donovan" while the other is "Ray Donovan: The Movie." Likewise, he was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards for five consecutive performances. Recently, Schreiber starred in the first season of the Netflix series "The Perfect Couple" and the Nat Geo mini series "Little Light". In the movie, Schreiber is known for his roles in "Spotlight", "Manchurian Candidate", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", "Goon" and more.

He was rejected by UTA and untitled entertainment.

Beetz is best known for playing the van in the hit FX series "Atlanta", for which she was nominated for the Emmy Award-nominated Best Supporting Actress in the Comedy of 2018. Beats is known for her work in films, such as "They Falled", "deadpool 2, "deadpool 2, "joker's" Joker, "junder train", "bullets", "bullets", and "nine nine days".

Graham recently received worldwide praise in the Netflix series "Adolescent," where he starred in and co-created the series. When NOMS was announced on July 15, the show will be widely expected to receive multiple Emmy nominations. Graham's other TV roles include "A Thousand Strikes" and "Board Road Empire." Graham also worked with Martin Scorsese on films like The New York Gang and The Irishman as well as films like "This Is England", "Snatch" and "Greyhound."
