Manchester City have accepted a formal offer from AC Milan for Kyle Walker.
The agreement was a loan deal with the option to buy the England international permanently in the summer.
The option is reportedly worth around £4.2 million (€5 million) Italian sky.
Walker will arrive in Milan around lunchtime today and will travel to a hotel before undergoing a medical in the afternoon.
He will go to AC Milan headquarters Casa Milan to sign the contract.
Walker has helped City win 17 trophies, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League, since joining City from Tottenham Hotspur in 2017.
After Manchester City won the Triple Crown in 2023, he almost joined Bayern Munich, but he signed a contract extension with Bayern until 2026.
Speaking about the success Manchester City has achieved with the help of Walker, Guardiola said: "We cannot understand the success we have achieved without Kyle in these years. It is impossible."
"He came here with us eight years ago and we started winning, winning, winning, winning and he was important for the national team and of course for our team."
Sky Sports' Lewis Jones:
Walker and City parting ways makes sense for both parties.
Walker may have asked to leave, but given the England international's apparent decline in strength this season, there won't be much resistance from club decision-makers.
A player who spent his career virtually unbeatable in one-on-one duels is now an easy target for opposing wide players to exploit.
Even Timo Werner, who has been plagued by form and confidence issues at Tottenham Hotspur, showed Walker a clean pair of heels in Spurs' humiliating defeat to Manchester City earlier in the season. Scored the fourth goal.
it results in sky sports' Gary Neville said: "It doesn't happen often but we've seen it a few times in the last few weeks. Vinicius, Kylian Mbappe, he's dealt with it, Walker but he struggled."
Walker's mistakes aren't just weird, they carry catalog resonance. His presence has become more of a hindrance than a help for Guardiola, as the statistics, with or without it, suggest.
