Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks hit the late Trey against the Detriot Pistons. La Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets.

Jalen Brunson scored 40 points, the New York Knicks won the Detroit Pistons series win, while the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Denver Nuggets to build the Titanic’s NBA playoff decision.

Brunson ranked the game's three-pointer with four seconds left on Thursday, which allowed the Knicks to beat the Pistons 116-113 and 4-2 in the 4-2 series.

At the Western Conference, the Clippers beat the Nuggets 111-105 on Intuit Dome to list their series 3-3 and played a decisive game seven in Denver on Saturday.

James Harden led the Clippers by 28 points, while Kawhi Leonard scored the game with 27 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, with Los Angeles bounced back in five games in Denver 131-115.

In Detroit, the Pistons also want to balance the Knicks' five-point series to lead from 11 points to hit 112-105, with less than three minutes left.

But a remarkable late-stage rally led by Brunson brought the Knicks back to the game, with a score of 113-113 with 36 seconds left.

Detroit star Cade Cunningham missed a layup to restore the Pistons' lead, which laid the foundation for Brunson's icy 3-pointer to give the Knicks a lead.

"I'm balanced, I rely on the trust and calmness given to me by my teammates," Brunson said. "Nothing happened without them."

The third-seeded Knicks made it to the Eastern Conference semifinals against defending NBA champion Boston Celtics and held their first game on Monday.

Brunson scored 40 points, 4 rebounds and 7 assists, Mikal Bridges scored 25 points, while OG Anunoby added 22 points.

"What can you say about Jaylen's shot?" Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau said of Brunson's three games. "He's in his best shape when it's needed, and he's doing it all year round. That's what makes him unique."

Cunningham led the Detroit scorer with 23 points, with 21 points from Jalen Duren, while Malik Beasley scored 20 points.

After the opening quarter, the Knicks saw a 14-point lead in the first half, thanks to the Pistons 37-23, thanks to Brunson's opening frame of 15 points.

But Detroit roared in the second quarter, with Beasley's hot hand draining five attempts on eight 3-point attempts to drag the Pistons back into the competition and returning to a slim lead in the half.

The Knicks emerged with a new focus in the second half, with the defense locked in the flow of the Detroit point, while on the other end, Brunson and Bridges combined to score 21 points to build a double-digit lead.
