Kentucky Derby Job Victory, History: Churchill Downs

It took a few minutes after the 150th Kentucky Derby was officially declared the winner. Mystik Dan beat Sierra Leone on the photo-complete nose, which gave Purebred a win from third place for the first time since 1998’s true quiet.

Posts 5 and 20 are usually the best winning percentage for Derby Horses (10.5% per person). But last year, neither of these positions produced the top five horses. Post No. 17 remains the only regular use location for winners who haven't won the box office of three currencies, making it the most disadvantageous. When it comes to the top three positions, the 10th is the best option, with 29.5% of the currency box office in 88 games using the post.

The fastest winner: Hill Gail, 2:01 3/5 (1952)

Ferdinand (1986) was the last horse to win at this position, and the average position of the horse was 8.2.

Win percentage: 7.4%

Intrinsic Percentage: 27.4%

Of the 20 positions, horses have the second highest rate (27.4%) in the top three. Four of the seven wins from this position appeared in the 1970s: Dust Commander (1970), Cannonade (1974), Bold Forbes (1976), and Sunerted (1978). There has been no winner ever since.

Two of the six wins in this post were in the 1970s-1975 (silly pleasure) and 1979 (spectacular bid), and Mystik Dan added wins to the position last year. The Secretariat is the greatest horse to win the Kentucky Derby, and he did this from this post 52 years ago. Four horses won in the 1980s: Real Risk (1980), Sunny's Halo (1983), Buck (1985), and Sunday Silence (1989). This post has the second best win percentage (10.2%) behind positions 5 and 20, and has the best currency rate (29.5%).

Unfortunately numbers have been like this lately. Nyquist is the most recent winner, with simplification completed in the top five in 2022.

The only winner from 14Th The locations are Middleground (1950) and Carry returns (1961). But 20.6% of horses running from this post have completed the money, including the base quality third in 2021.

One of the fastest times in the derby record comes from this article in 2001, the monarch won at 1:59.97. All four horses have won this post over the past 30 years, including the Animal Kingdom (2011), Charismatic (1999), and Thunder Gulch (1995).

Buck's bid was the only horse running from the scene, ranking seventh in the 1974 Kentucky Derby.
