Justice Department charges California man for man threatening to kill Trump on Facebook

Federal prosecutors accused a Southern California man of allegedly threatening to kill President Trump on Facebook after last year's election.

The Justice Department said in a press release Tuesday that the man was Thomas Eugene Streavel, 73, of San Bernardino County - was charged last week with three counts of threats against the president-elect.

An indictment on Tuesday listed a series of angry Facebook messages that allegedly involved Mr. Trump before and after the election, some of which expressed a desire to be assassinated.

The Justice Department said the allegations focused on three messages allegedly written in November.
