They were asked Monday about Sean Diddy's comb's federal sex trafficking case, and their knowledge of the federal sex trafficking case as jury criticism progressed in Manhattan court.
A list of more than 100 places has also been shown to prospective jurors whose names may appear at trial. The list includes Michael B.
The names of the women who filed civil lawsuits against the comb also appeared on the list, including his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, whose suit paved the way for sex trafficking and blackmail,,,,, Dawn Richard is a member of the founding of two now-extinct musical groups Combs.
Richard alleged in a lawsuit filed last year that he groped her, threatening her, and she witnessed him assaulting Ventura. Combs denied her allegations and her lawsuit awaited.
Attorneys did not provide an explanation for the list, and representatives from Jordan, Myers and West did not immediately return a request for comment.
As federal prosecutors said in one five charges, twelve jurors will eventually decide whether the comb will use its power and influence to sexually exploit women for twenty years.
A clean shaved comb has been detained in a federal prison in Brooklyn since his arrest in September 2024, a jury selection arrived in a white collar shirt, black crew sweater and grey pants. U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian allowed the comb to wear his own clothes during the trial.
Before Subramanian issued various rulings, he clenched and shook hands with his lawyers, including clinical psychiatrist Dr. Elie Aoun, who could testify as a defense expert for COMBS drugs, which may have taken drugs and their combined effects. Subramanian said Aoun could also testify about power outages and other episodes where the comb might be intoxicated.
At the heart of the government case, alleging forged women (including his ex-girlfriend Ventura) participate in drug-driven sex with male sex workers who comb, groom and shoot and are called "freaks."
The indictment does not name any victims, but Victim 1's allegations are in close agreement with Ventura in 2023's civil lawsuit, where she and the comb were settled within a day, and he did not admit any misconduct.
The public first learns from her lawsuit that alleged sexual intercourse, and that the comb allegedly abused her for years. Combs strongly denied the allegations, and his lawyer said the sexual act was a consent.
But prosecutors said the encounters were equal to sexual trafficking, alleging that the comb kept records of encounters and silenced the victims through blackmail and violence.
At the heart of the prosecution case is a March 5, 2016 video showing combs attacking and dragging Ventura in the corridor of the Los Angeles hotel.
Prosecutors said Ventura of the music record company signed with Cassie has been trying to escape the hotel room, and the incident on the day was "strong evidence of trafficking" and the comb's "freak-related force" that they claimed was before the attack.
The comb is wearing only a towel in the video, and Ventura has no shoes. After CNN aired the video last year, Combs publicly apologized, saying his actions were "unforgivable" and that he took full responsibility for his actions.
According to prosecutors, the comb bribed the hotel security to get the shot for $100,000 and cover up what he did. Combs' lawyers tried to exclude the video from the evidence and believed that it was "completely inaccurate, changed, manipulated, accelerated and edited, in out of order".
When questioned by Subramanian on Monday, many prospective jurors said they had watched the video and a woman called it "damn." The woman is forgiven.
Another woman said she worked at HBO, and she said she found the video "disturbing" and "disturbing", but she could be fair. COMBS's chief lawyer Marc Agnifilo expressed concern because HBO released a documentary about the comb, titled "The Depravity of Diddy," the woman said she didn't know.
When the defense requested a quick break, Subramanian suggested that they wait and continue to ask the jurors.
"I'm a machine," Subramanian said, and Combs replied, "I'm sorry for your honor. I'm a little nervous today." Subramanian granted a break.
Subramanian said last week that he hopes to hold an alternating jury of 12 and 6 people in three days and the trial will last eight weeks. Defense attorney Teny Geragos told NBC News earlier Monday that she believes they can choose a jury within three days.
Her father, high-profile defense attorney Mark Geragos, also appeared in court on Monday.
"Can't I just look at my daughter? I'm a helicopter parent," he joked as he entered the court.
A source familiar with the case told NBC News that Mark Geragos will help you in an informal role throughout the trial and advise which juror’s legal team to choose this week. He was seen in court on Monday with the defense's jury adviser meeting.
Mark Geragos has no further comments, and Combs' legal team did not respond to requests for comment.
Jurors will remain anonymous.
