Juan Soto spent just one season in the New York Yankee Pinstripes.

After helping the Yankees into the 2024 World Series, Soto switched to the New York City Borough and signed Historical Contract With the Mets.

When the Yankees led 4-0, most of the attention was Soto's first bat. The latest version of the Subway series marks Soto's first game at Yankee Stadium since the Mets signed.

Soto heard some loud booing in the first inning Friday night. Many fans in the stadium stood up and laughed at Soto.

The 26-year-old right fielder seemed to have made fans strode forward and took a little time to tilt his helmet to the crowd.

Soto also seemed to say "thank you."

He eventually walked into the batsman's box and took a walk. More boos seemed to rain when he was right in the lower half of the situation.

Before Friday's game, Soto talked about the possibility of fans booing him. But that didn't seem to undermine Slugger's excitement about returning to the Bronx.

"I don't mind," Soto Tell the athletic ability.

Before the 2025 regular season begins, Soto admitted that he faithfully “expects the worst” when he visited Yankee Stadium.

"You know Yankees fans. They can surprise you with anything." Four times MLB All-Stars said in March.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone took a cautious tone ahead of Friday’s showdown and advised fans to “don’t take things too far.”

"It'll be fun. I'm sure there will be some creativity out there," Boone said before the game. "I just hope everyone comes and have a good time, be safe and don't go too far."

Soto rejected the Yankees for a $765 million contract in December with the Mets. This contract does not include any deferred currency and is the most profitable contract in professional sports history.

Soto ended his sole season with 41 home runs and a .288 batting average. The right fielder has hit eight home runs in 43 games so far this season.
