Jon Batiste is ready to bring his new music to the road. On Thursday, the prolific musician announced a 33-year-old North American Grand Prix tour this fall to celebrate his upcoming album.
"What I want is the cultural music that represents the one I come from and is responsible for pushing it forward," Baptiste said in his Louisiana press release. "That's jazz. That's blues. That's the soul. That's the national and gospel music - from getting together, improvising in real time and expressing something deeper.
He added: “I can’t wait to spread the energy every night, where the most authentic form of music is.”

According to the press release, Baptiste’s show will feature a variety of performances, showing “Bapiste’s roots, his evolution and the action he built through music.” The tour will be sung with songs from his catalogue and new materials that he will perform live for the first time. Batiste described the show as a “creative church. This tour is named after the song he will debut on the road.
“We live in a complex period, with music having the incredible ability to restructure our feelings that can help us move forward,” he said in a press release. “These shows are designed to heal, liberate and memorable.”
The tour announcement comes three months after he released a two-track song "My United State" which is "Star-Spangled Batiste Blues" and "My Future Self Notes". The musician also gave up on his album New Orleans Collection The same was true that month.
