Floram Park, NJ (AP) - Giovanni Williams watches his brother chase their NFL dreams and become a player with the New York Jets.
Now, young defenders have the opportunity to join them and maybe make some history.

Williams, the younger brother of defensive tackle Quinnen and guard Quincy, was in rookie mini camp, with the Jets as a trial with the Jets after the Level II Black Academy (Level II Black Academy) in Fairfield, Alabama.
“It feels good,” Giovanni Williams said Saturday after practice. "Honestly, I feel bittersweet, just because I live behind them and make my name, I still have to live behind them. But, it's sweet. Because I play the same position as my brother (Quincy). So I can ask for help with his help and we can get the same level of competition. So as usual, it's like competition.
“It’s just a big game just like we’re back home.”
If young Williams can form a team, it is believed that the Jets will be the first team in NFL history to have three brothers on the same active roster.

“To be honest, it means a lot to me just knowing I’m coming to a small boot camp and I’m very pressing,” Williams said. "It would feel good to just be on the team with my brothers. It would be historical."
He still has a lot of work to do to pave the way for potential football history. However, getting on the field with other Jets rookies is a good start.
“I just think he’s outstanding in the jet jersey and his two brothers are actually with us, so it’s a beautiful story,” said coach Aaron Glenn. “He is working hard.”
Quinnen is the first round pick for the 2019 Alabama Jets (No. 3 overall).

Quincy is the oldest of the three brothers, the third round of the same year that Jacksonville brought from Murray State. He also formed an all-around team and became one of the league's top centre-backs.
Meanwhile, Giovanni spent three years in A&M Kingsville, Texas, and played in the 2021 and 2022 seasons after sitting in freshman year in 2020. In 2023, he transferred to Miles and played two games in 2023, with 29 tackles and a sack in 11 games last season, breaking his right hand in the season opener while helping the school win the conference title.
"I'm in the middle - I have the speed of Quincy, but I have the quinine build," Giovanni said. He said he weighed 222 pounds and was listed as 6-foot-1 in college. “So, like I’m the middle of the two of them.
However, this is not always the case. In fact, Giovanni said he weighed much heavier than the younger 303-pound quinine.

"Yes, I was about 350 pounds in high school," Giovanni shook his head with a smile. "I know, I know. I'm very big. I have the photos you need to see now."
He posted videos and photos on his Instagram page showing how he significantly changed his body.
"Yes, there's actually an interesting story," Giovanni said. "So, I went from 350 (pounds) to 185 for three to four months, and then I had to build it to 220 just to get firm because when I was like 350, well, okay, okay, you know, you have to look at it. So I don't look like I'm a centre-back.
"So I'm kind of like, I'm a little head. I won't say frustrated, but I'm just a little frustrated in my head and I was like, 'You have to go to work now, you have to look at part of it.' So I just did everything I could and then lighten the weight and then re-fix it."

Now, after receiving a call from his agent, he is in the NFL field, saying the Jets will give him a chance to join the brothers.
"Honestly, seeing my opportunity, all I can do is come out here to do me and handle my business," he said. "Look my best foot forward and see what happened, it happened."
