Jason Sudeikis took some time to remember his late uncle, cheers Star George Wendt participated in his annual large-scale charity event in Kansas City.
Wendt portrays beer-loving Norm Peterson in all 11 seasons of NBC sitcom, who died peacefully while sleeping at home last month. He is 76 years old.
this Ted Lasso The star was asked about Wendt at a press conference, and he accepted sympathy from reporters about Wendt's death and said in part: "We miss him so much, I love him so much."

But he's not one of those guys," Sudeikis said at a Friday event. "He's as funny, kind and warm as any character he plays on TV or in movies. He's an incredible influence to me, whether it's the guy shining on the trail, from the Midwest and tells me that acting is a career you can actually have if you really care about it."
Sudikis said, referring to Kansas City, “Of course, he always connects with his family, with his roots, and of course, he’s from Chicago, but so does the time he spent here afterwards.” He joked, “Go to a bar called Mike, I think he recorded about 18 credits.” “But it’s all about preparing a job we all know him, cheering.
When his microphone started to break down, Sudeikis quipped, “That was him messing up the soundboard. He was like, ‘Don’t talk about me’…just the humility of the Midwest.’”
Wendt is a six-time Emmy nominee and is the brother of Sudeikis' mother Kathryn. Both actors have outstanding careers, Winter said he was "very proud" of his nephew when he appeared in 2024 Still in Hollywood podcast.
"(Sudeikis) is a great kid. Very proud," Winter said. "Especially proud of being successful, and he's solid, and he's solid. Did you read profiles and stuff? I mean he's such a smart, so smart, so considerate. I mean, it's all on the show."
Similarly, Sudeikis praised his uncle in his 2011 profile playboyhe praised Wendt for his career as an actor.
