Wowow planted its own banner in the production services business last year, hoping to encourage and profit from the recent surge in industry interest in Japanese live performance content. A subsidiary of Wowow Bridge was established to provide a full range of services for international film and television projects, aiming to shoot in Japan. The company's decision to launch the production services division stems from its experience as co-producer of Max's famous crime series Tokyo bad habits. The show’s executive producer Kayo Washio acts as Wowow’s head of U.S. operations and the lead producer of international co-production, and the acquisition and distribution of works played a role in bringing the show to Japan and providing a range of live relationships.

The incentives have a cash rebate of up to 50% of eligible fees, with a cap of 1 billion yen (about $7 million). Wowow Bridge provides incentive funds for all three projects undertaking to date.
