Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison will miss the rest of the season due to a knee injury.
Madison was injured in a first-leg win over Bodo/Grim in the Europa League semi-finals last Thursday, and he scored his second goal from Tottenham Hotspur in a 3-1 victory.
For the Spurs, this is the second season of injury in a week and he also loses a midfielder Lucas Bergvall Injured during training.
The injuries of the two were a huge blow to Spurs owner Ange Postecoglou, ahead of Thursday's second leg in Norway, and later this month's Europa League final.
PosteCoglou confirmed in his speech on the eve of Tottenham's match against Bodo/Glimt that Maddison will not be participating in this semester again.
"The Madders adjusted his knees in the first leg. He went out and he would miss the rest of the season," Postecoglou said.
“It’s more disappointing for him than anything else because he has been a huge catalyst for us.
"He missed it, but it's the same thing we've been dealing with these things the season has been. We (just need) to overcome that."
Postecoglou initially revealed after Sunday's 1-1 draw at West Ham that Maddison's injury seemed to be worse than the first thought.
"This doesn't look good, but we're just waiting for more information, so we're just waiting. Tomorrow (Monday) we might be clear.
"It's fair to say that this is not very promising, but I'll wait and see."
However, there is more encouraging news from the striker's postcoglou Dominic Solanke The Premier League is after the West Ham League on Sunday.
England International stood out in his home win over Bodo/Glimt in the opening game last week and was excluded from the 1-1 tie at the London Stadium.
But Postecoglou knocked out the 27-year-old injured and hoped he would participate in the second round this week in Norway.
The Australian said in a post-match press conference: “Dom’s improvement.
"We kept him in today, but the medical team is very confident that he should be fine on Thursday."
If the Spurs do surpass the Norwegian championship on Thursday, then on May 21, the All-British final against Manchester United awaits them.
This will give Postecoglou's side a chance to end their 17-year trophy drought and qualify for next season's Champions League.
