Jackie Chan accepts Locarno Film Festival's Lifetime Honors in 2025

Hong Kong and global film icon Jackie Chan will attend Switzerland's 78th Lockno Film Festival this summer to receive the prestigious Pardo Alla Carriera or the Professional Leopard Award, organisers unveiled on Tuesday.

The festival will award Chen the honors on Saturday night, August 9, and the actor will also introduce his films project (1983) and Police Story (1985), in both cases, he was a star and director as part of his career tribute.

Festival audiences will also have the opportunity to see and hear Chan during a public dialogue event on Sunday, August 10.

Giona A. Nazzaro, artistic director of the Locarno Film Festival, stressed: "Director, producer, actor, screenwriter, screenwriter, choreographer, singer, athlete, athlete and Daredevil Stuntman, Jackie Chan is an important figure in contemporary Asian films as a stuntman for Hu Jin's masterpieces. Locarno called Chan "an Asian superstar, filmmaker master and Hollywood mid-stream tay dog ​​because the film bridged the gap between the East and the West," he added that he "has already been one of the world's most well-known faces in nearly 60 years.

After starting as a child actor in the 1960s, Chen achieved success in 1978 Snake in the shadow of an eagle and Drunk Master. Over the next decade, his “kung fu comedy blended together and was a solid box office that attracted him for the legendary Hong Kong studio Golden Harvest, whose bold stunts and easy-going charm attracted fans,” Locarno said.
