Tel Aviv, Israel - This is the deadly week of Israeli air strikes in Gaza.

Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in the past few days and 100 people were killed on Friday, according to Gaza health officials, hospitals, and NPR contacted Morgue personnel.

The hospital corridor was flooded with injuries and death. Many strikes killed the entire family, leaving survivors struggling to bury the dead.

In the territory of more than 2 million people in Israel, no food or supplies enter Gaza. The World Health Organization said this week that nearly one million people face a "catastrophic situation of hunger" and that the territory may not immediately fall into famine.

The United States and Israel recently announced a plan to return to Gaza, but there is no official timetable yet, when the plan will be launched.

Israel's army said it launched more than 150 strikes on the ruins of Hamas militants over the past day.

The fierce attack was because President Trump was visiting the Middle East for five days, without including Israel. People hope that during his time in the region there will be a breakthrough in the long-term talks to reach a ceasefire in the Israeli-Hamas war.

But by the end of the week, hope gradually faded away, Trump left the area and Israeli forces continued to bomb Gaza.

Israel said its military pressure movement was the only way to defeat Hamas and bring home the hostages and bodies of the dead. According to the Israeli government, they were arrested in a Hamas-led attack in Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 53,000 Palestinians died in Israeli attacks this week, with one-third of children.

Israeli authorities said they were sending a message to Hamas: It was the last chance to reach an agreement or prepare for a new extended offensive in Gaza, with thousands of Israeli reserve personnel calling for duty.
