Israel conducts "real-time genocide" in Gaza | Israel-Palestine conflict news

The amnesty also said that U.S. President Donald Trump is responsible for "multiple attacks" on human rights.

Armnesty International said Israel is committing "real-time genocide" in Gaza, depriving Palestinians of "specific intentions" with "specific intentions."

Human Rights Group said in its annual report released on Monday that Israeli Gaza forces violated the UN Genocide Convention, which included “severe physical or mental harm to civilians” and “deliberately causing living conditions designed to cause their physical damage.”

Israel repeatedly “denied, hindered and disallowed and promoted” humanitarian entry into Gaza and invaded the southern city of Rafa, despite warnings from the international community and the International Court of Justice that “it will have a devastating impact on civilians”.

Rights groups said Israeli air strikes also frequently attacked civilians following evacuation orders, while its troops continued to “arbitrary detention, forcibly vanishing Palestinians in some cases”.

"Since October 7, 2023 - Hamas has committed terrorist crimes against Israeli citizens and others and has arrested more than 250 hostages - the world has become a live audience of genocide," Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard said in the briefing of the report.

“States looked powerless, Israel killed thousands of Palestinians, wiped out entire multigenerational families, destroyed houses, livelihoods, hospitals and schools.”

Callamard said Israel and “its powerful allies, first of all, are the United States, claim or act as if international law does not apply to them.”

Israel strongly denies genocide, insists that it is self-defense against Hamas and that extraordinary measures should be taken to protect civilians.

According to Palestinian health authorities, Israeli forces have killed more than 51,300 people since October 7, 2023, including at least 17,400 children.

Israeli authorities said about 1,200 people were killed in Hamas' attack on Israel.

Amnesty also raised warnings in its report that “unprecedented forces” including U.S. President Donald Trump posed a global threat to human rights.

"The opposition to human rights liability, a variety of attacks against international law and the United Nations are just signs of U.S. President Donald Trump's first 100 days of 2025," Karamad said.

“But those who are reckless and punishing offensives, against efforts to eradicate global poverty and remove long-standing racial and gender-based discrimination and violence, have not begun.

The amnesty also expressed concerns about human rights violations committed by Russia invading Ukraine and attacks on gender equality in Afghanistan and Iran.

"The Taliban government criminalizes the public existence of women and girls, denies their right to work and education through so-called vices and virtue laws. Dozens of protesters have been forcibly disappeared or arbitrarily detained," Kalamad said.

“In Iran, the new mandatory veil law has exacerbated oppression on women and girls, imposed whipping, high fines and severe prison sentences, while officials and alert people have been violently attacked by women and girls for violating the law.”
