The International Pride event this week ranges from classical Gershwin’s favorites to dance patriotism to reject Donald Trump’s takeover of the Kennedy Center and subsequent rejection of LBGTQ+ Ensemble.
The intense celebration of the World Celebration, a biennial international festival for Peripatetic supporting LGBTQ+ rights, will begin this month and be held in Washington, D.C., instead at the Strathmore Music Center in Maryland, the capital’s northern capital.

Michael Roest, conductor and founder of the nonprofit International Pride Orchestra, reminded viewers that “people are reluctant to live and love publicly.”
"That's why we have this band," he said.
During the event, gay men in Washington sang beautiful Americans with pianist Sara Davis Buechner, a transgender person, dazzled as he led the band on Grand Piano on the Blue Gershwin's favorite rhapsody.

Trump fired the Kennedy Center leader in February, named it the chairman, and was responsible for the loyalists.

A band spokesman said that given that he was “fired”, event organizers began looking for alternative places, and Strathmore provided the space.
A Kennedy Center spokesman recommended X post to leadership by Reuters, saying it did not actually cancel any shows.
