Inter Miami signed Tadeo Allende from Celta Vigo on Tuesday on a one-year loan until the end of the 2025 Major League Soccer season.

The Celta Vigo winger will join the team pending receipt of a P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).

“We are pleased to add attacker Tadeo Allende to further strengthen our attack. Tadeo’s versatility enhances our options in the frontcourt as he can play in different positions on the pitch. We are very excited to add attacker Tadeo Allende to our attack. It’s great to have him on board to help us compete in multiple competitions into 2025,” said Raúl Sanllehí, President of Football Operations.

Since joining Celta Vigo in January 2024, Allende has made 13 appearances for Celta in all competitions and scored 3 goals. He has also previously played at the Atletico Central Academy of Córdoba (2021) and Godoy Cruz Sports Club (on loan from 2022 to 2023). Before joining La Liga, he scored a total of 18 goals and 7 assists in 117 professional games.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to join Inter Miami and begin an exciting new chapter in my career. I am delighted to be coming to South Florida and I am ready to give my all to help the club achieve its goals this upcoming season," Liande said.

Allende is the latest signing by new manager Javier Mascherano as he looks to build a deeper squad ahead of the 2025 season. In addition to the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season, Inter Miami will also compete in the CONCACAF Champions League, League Cup and Club World Cup.

Mascherano said he is actively looking for players with a competitive mentality who can shoulder the responsibilities associated with Inter Miami.

"I'll tell you what kind of player (we're looking for), a competitive player, a player with the ambition to come here and win, a player that really wants to be here because, we know, other than that fact , we have players who can attract many other players," Mascherano told ESPN on Tuesday. “Then the responsibility has to be on you and that’s not for everyone.

"So the bottom line is players have mentality, character and obviously there's a hierarchy. Ultimately, the hierarchy in football makes the difference and we'll try to find those types of players."

Inter Miami will kick off the 2025 pre-season with a friendly match against Club America on January 18 in Las Vegas before embarking on a tour through South and Central America. The team will add more players to the squad before officially kicking off the season in a CONCACAF Champions League match against Sporting Kansas City on February 18.
