Indy 500 Indystar Documentary "More than a Game" is Coming
The Indy 500 defines Indianapolis. Monday, a mini documentary about what it means to the community, racing fans, participants and more.

109 Indianapolis 500 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 25, 2025 on the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Automobile Track Oval. But there are a lot of moves on the track before the race.
34 cars will be practiced from May 13 to 16 (Tuesday to Friday). Qualifying is from Saturday to Sunday, May 17 to 18. Monday, May 19th, is another practice day. Carb Day features practice, pits and concerts.

Sunday, May 25, weather permits. Green Flag is scheduled for 12:45 pm ET.

Favorite: Josef Newgarden, Pato O'Ward and Alex Palou are +700. Scott McLaughlin is +800, Scott Dixon +1000.
Josef Newgarden won the competition in 2023 and 24. He will try to be the first driver to win the race for three consecutive years.
NASCAR Cup star Kyle Larson is scheduled to compete in the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. He tried "Double" in 2024, but the bad weather in Indianapolis and Charlotte, North Carolina made him unable to complete it.
On April 9, Indianapolis Racing and Indycar series owner Roger Penske said President Trump was given a "public invitation" to participate in the competition. Whether he plays in the competition may have to wait until he gets closer to the competition before he can determine. Trump competed in February's biggest NASCAR game, the season-opening Daytona 500.
