India - Pakistan: No cricket match until Kashmir attack conflict resolves - Gautam Gambhir

India and Pakistan met for the last time in the February championship trophy. The match was played in Dubai as India refused to go to Pakistan to compete.

Fixtures for World Championships such as the World Cup and Champions Trophy are determined by the International Cricket Committee and the schedule for the event.

India-Pakistan fixtures are highly paid, usually the most viewed and the largest stadium.

Besides that, the competition is arranged by the national board of directors, but India and Pakistan have not met since Pakistan toured India in 2013.

Their team can meet at the T20 World Cup next year.

“Ultimately, it’s the government’s decision, whether we play them or not,” said Gambhir, former MP of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Narendra Modi.

“I said this before: There is no cricket game, Bollywood or any other interaction is more important than the lives of Indian soldiers and Indian citizens.

“The competition will continue to happen, the film will continue to go on, the singers will continue to perform, but nothing like losing a loved one.”

India has proposed several measures against Pakistan following the April 22 attack, including a moratorium on a water sharing agreement and a ban on Pakistani aircraft from its airspace.

Pakistan responded with numerous Tat-tat reviews, and Instagram’s narratives of many Pakistani film actors and celebrities in India were blocked.

India has not named any group suspected of attacks in Pahalgam, and it is not clear who has done it.

Indian police claimed that the two attackers were Pakistani nationals, and Delhi alleged that Pakistan supported militants - Islamabad denied it. It said it had nothing to do with the April 22 attack.

The situation escalated on Tuesday night, when India launched a series of strikes with the move of "Operation Sindoor".

Pakistan's military spokesman Lieutenant Ahmed Sharif Choudhury said at least 26 people were killed and 46 were injured.

Indian troops said at least 15 civilians were killed by Pakistani shelling on one side of the de facto border in Kashmir.

The match in the Indian Premier League between the King of Punjab and the capital of Delhi on Thursday is scheduled to be held in Dharam Sara, Himaal Pradesh, bordering Kashmir.

Many flights to Dharamsala Airport were cancelled on Wednesday following instructions from Indian aviation authorities.

The Pakistan Premier League is scheduled to continue in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.
