The first UFC pay-per-view event of the year has arrived. UFC 311 was supposed to be a rematch between lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukia, but Tsarukia withdrew from Friday's event due to a back injury. Renato Moicano, who was originally scheduled to be on the undercard, will now face Makhachev in the headliner.
If you're planning on watching UFC 311 this weekend, keep reading. Ahead, we outline two ways to watch Makhachev vs. Moicano, including how to stream the match live on ESPN+ and how to watch it for less with a VPN.
The most direct way to live stream Makhachev vs. Moicano is ESPN+. The streaming service has exclusive U.S. rights to UFC fights and offers pay-per-view events for $79.99. You need to be a subscriber to purchase these PPV events.
Not an ESPN+ subscriber yet? There are several ways to register. You can get a monthly plan for $11.99 per month or an annual plan for $119.99 per year. New subscribers can also purchase the UFC PPV + ESPN+ annual package, which includes a full year of ESPN+ and fight PPVs - all for $134.98. That's $54 cheaper than buying both items separately.
Another way to get ESPN+ is through a streaming bundle, such as the Disney Bundle Trio. These include Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu. Trio is priced at $16.99 per month with ads and $26.99 per month for the ad-free version.
If you don't want to pay for PPV via ESPN+, you can also watch UFC 311 via BT Sport in the UK. The streaming service will not charge additional fees for numbered UFC events. Instead, viewers only pay a monthly subscription fee of £29.99 (approximately $39).
However, if you are located in the United States, you will need a VPN to access UFC streaming on BT Sport. We recommend ExpressVPN, which gives you fast and secure access to servers around the world, including BT Sport UFC streaming servers in the UK.
UFC 311 takes place on Saturday, January 18, with prelims starting at 8pm ET / 5pm PT. The main card will begin at 10pm ET / 7pm PT.
