Without a lot of famous guest stars, this wouldn't be a show about Hollywood.
Example: Every episode of Apple TV+'s comedy series studio Multiple Hollywood stars, filmmakers, creatives, executives, and others appear - many of them are playing alternatives, their own alternative versions (we guess Olivia Wilde isn't actually a thief!).
The show recently renewed its second season, with Seth Rogen playing film director Matt Remick, who was promoted to president of the fictional Mainland Studios. He realized that he might be in his mind and that responsibility was not all.
In addition to Rogen, the show also starred in productions of Matt's friend Ike Barinholtz and the mainland vice president, Catherine O'Hara is a fired film executor-turned producer, Chase Sui Sui becomes Matt's creative director and Kathryn Hahn serves as marketing director. Rogen also co-created the show with Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory and Frida Perez.
As Matt and his team get into various dilemmas, they usually involve A-level actors, directors, writers, executives, or other Hollywood genres.

After Matt was promoted to studio head, he gave him his first-order business: Kool-Aid movie scrolling on handicap, which annoyed him. Stoller also appeared later this season, when Matt and his team were concerned about the racial makeup of the film actors before worrying again in the cinema episodes where he planned to showcase his new film.
