3rd Division

Grelin Hosting Area

Greyling- Last season, in order to return to their third zone, Born City softball team found some late-stage hero games to win the championship.

In a close meeting with host Grayling on Saturday, May 31, again in the third tournament, the rambler was late, though not enough.

Boyne City scored a shortage in Grayling's 3-2 Regional Championship Championship. The loss was a 9-2 win over Charlevoix earlier in the day.

Against Charlevoix, Sidney Bush and Natalie Grobaski only allowed three hits, with Bush hitting 7 to 5 1/3 innings.

Katelyn Dittmar then scored fours on the plate with RBIs, Lily Payton ran twice and Sidney Bush added RBIs. Eeva Rintala also has two RBIs for Boyne.

For Charlevoix, Ayla Kemp scored 4-2, Jillian Gray singles, Addison Shearer won RBI.

Payton ran twice in the 3-0 game in the Vikings but didn't get out, even though she was later abandoned and then ended the game with a back-to-back strikeout.

Sadie Bush doubled twice, while Sidney Bush made seven shots, gave up four hits and hit seven times.

Boyne City ended its 16-20 season, and a lot of talent will return next season. Charlevoix ended the season 8-21.

4th Division

Boyn Falls Hosting Area

Boyne Falls - East Jordan softball teams are in a tough spot in their District 4 Championship Saturday, May 31.

With a team that beat them twice, knows their enemies well and ranks fourth in the state, it will take some luck to move forward.

But Saturday wasn't so lucky.

Belaire ended the Red Devils' season with only two hits on the board.

Caitlyn Burks and Sydney Guerriero have the only singles for EJ, Emma Murray allowed six innings to hit six innings and four strikeouts.

It completed a 15-14 campaign for East Jordan, while Bellaire scored a 14-0 area and eventually beat Mancelona.
