Halle Berry wore a black and white striped Jacquemus gown with a backless neckline at the opening ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival.
While Berry is great in this outfit, it is not her first choice. After the last minute announcement ahead of the 2025 festival, Berry was forced to change clothes, and organizers decided to ban nudity and "too much" clothing, which also included gowns with long trains.
"I wore a great piece of Gupta because it was too big for the train, so I couldn't wear it tonight," Berry told Variety. "I won't break the rules. The naked part could be a good rule, too."
The star posted photos of the opening night on her Instagram, and fans praised the comments. One fan wrote: “still as beautiful as ever (the definition of aging like wine), another added “as they say Harry (sic) lives her best life. ”
