Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and Donald Trump have sparked controversy among the Democrats after appearing with President Donald Trump at an event at the White House on Tuesday and earlier this month.
“She went to the White House… After the election, she was heavily involved in running for the Democratic nominee (anti-Trump) and I think a lot about her understanding of her role is to be governor for everyone, not just her party.
During the event, Trump signed the execution order and answered media questions, praising Whitmer for his “excellent work” as governor and calling her “very good person,” which significantly deviated from his usual criticism of the Democratic Party.

However, some Democrats are highly critical of Whitmer for appearing with Trump.
“I think the Democratic fighting factions are rising, and leaders who ignore this risk,” said the inseparable Ezra Levin.
Trump praised Whitmer at a Tuesday event in Michigan, unveiling plans to replace A-10 Warthog aircraft from Selfridge Air National Guard base outside Detroit with 21 brand new F-15EX Eagle II fighters.
"So, I want to thank Gov. Gretchen Whitmer for having us very much caught our attention, too. And, I shouldn't have done that," Trump said. "She's a Democrat. They said, 'Don't do that. No she's here.' I said, "No, she'll be here." ”
He added: “Frankly, she did a great job.

The second day after Whitmer's Oval Office held with Trump, on April 10, Democratic Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel called Trump a "fascist" in an article on social media.
"Why I refuse to normalize this president: appe foot is not a viable strategy with fascists," Nessel wrote in an article on X.
