Goldfinch, Digital Genesis launches $20 million Web3, AI deal

British film financier Goldfinch has partnered with Luxembourg’s Digital Genesis Fund to create a $20 million investment program focused on Web3 and AI-Power Entertainment Studios.

The partnership aims to revolutionize traditional media production models by integrating tokenized, artificial intelligence and a decentralized ecosystem. The transaction structure includes the initial $20 million investment of Digital Genesis, which was matched by Goldfinch International on a transaction basis.

The program will be officially launched during the TechCannes industry event in the Cannes Film Market on May 17, followed by international investment calendars and partner transactions. This includes the upcoming Indonesia Creative Investment Forum, co-hosted by Goldfornich Indonesia, which begins with introducing Lumire and the squad’s first technology-driven products to investors and public institutions around the world.

The newly formed joint venture will focus on the intersection of entertainment, emerging technologies and digital media, with particular emphasis on projects leveraging tokenized, AI, Metaverse and TMT infrastructure. This creates a new model for co-investment and co-production throughout the entertainment venue.

Lumiere is a tokenized crowdfunding platform that represents the first major investment in a partnership. Supported by the Animoca brand, tan and Rolling Stone & RS Productions, the platform enables audiences and investors to engage in content funding on projects fully scripted – challenging traditional financing models while laying the foundation for the ecosystem’s tagged studio infrastructure.

The partnership also includes previously revealed investments in the squad, the group through its AI-powered pipeline and MILC-Global, a comprehensive B2B and B2C ready production environment.

“We have witnessed a continuous, profound transformation in the entertainment and creative industries, an area that we deeply value and love,” said Phil McKenzie and Justin Deimen of Goldfinch International. “Our goal is to focus on these industries in the future through the institutional lens.”

Hendrik Hey, MD and co-founder of the Digital Genesis Fund, added: “It must be the feeling when Hollywood pioneers built their studios and set a new era of storytelling. Today, we find ourselves at a similar turning point – but this time, Canvas is infinite: a three-dimensional, cross-span, cross-span metaverse and cooterative metaverse and interactive metaverse and verseative metaverse’’

The collaborative ecosystem is designed to give creators more control over their work while providing real-time performance tracking for investors. Establish strategic technical partnerships with companies such as Arcware (Germany), which will automate production workflows and licensing frameworks and establish new transparent co-production and co-financing models.

"It's more than just a partnership - we're opening the door to a new entertainment ecosystem. We're building a decentralized studio system of the future, which is powered by AI (powered by AI), managed by smart contracts, driven by creators and communities."
